The same duty of confidentiality is required of any third parties to
whom the administration of

claims if
you
have agreed with ALC
Health that they will manage

claims for
you

There is a legal requirement, in certain circumstances, to disclose
information to law enforcement agencies about suspicions of
fraudulent claims and other crime. Information will be disclosed to
third parties including other insurers for the purposes of prevention
or investigation of crime including reasonable suspicion about fraud
or otherwise improper claims. This may involve adding non-medical
information to a database that will be accessible by other insurers and
law enforcement agencies. Additionally, the General Medical Council
or other relevant regulatory body will be notified about any issue
where there is reason to believe a
medical practitioner’s
fitness to
practice may be impaired. If
you
have agreed ALC Health may use
the information
you
have provided to contact
you
by post, telephone
or electronically with details of other products and services.
With
your
agreement some of
your
details may also be shared with
other ALC Health Group companies and other carefully selected
companies based in the European Economic Area to enable them to
contact
you
about their products and services.
